The First Emperor: China’s Terracotta Army
Grosvenor Museum, Grosvenor Street
7.30pm
£6.50
The inside story of the first emperor of China who not only built the Great Wall but who was buried with an army of life-sized terracotta warriors. In a talk that complements perfectly the major exhibition on the subject at the British Museum in London (Sept 13 – April 6), Frances Wood sets the scene with a colourful introduction and lots of background on the terracotta warriors and their master.
The author of many books on China, she is head of the Chinese section at the British Library.
